The Department of Orthopaedics is comprised of eight full time Orthopaedics, focused on foot and ankle, upper extremity and acute orthopaedics. The department offers specialized clinics at Saint Paul’s Hospital (SPH) including the Foot and Ankle Screening Triage (FAST) clinic, the Foot and Ankle Consultation clinic and the Wrist and Hand Clinic.

Research and Education

The SPH Department of Orthopaedics is a major component of the UBC Department of Orthopaedic academic program. Our department provides training for UBC residents, subspecialty fellows and medical students. In addition, two highly recognized fellowship programs are offered: Foot and Ankle Adult Reconstruction and Upper Extremity. Annually, our program graduates accomplished orthopaedic surgeons from Canada, United States and other international locations.
