PHC Annual 4-Day Health Ethics Seminar
Get ready for four days of insightful discussions and learning at the PHC Annual 4-Day Health Ethics Seminar!

Join us for the 2026 Annual 4-Day Ethics Seminar.
We acknowledge with gratitude and humility that this event will take place on the traditional and unceded homelands of the Coast Salish people, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh).
The 4-day intensive seminar aims to empower participants in recognizing and resolving ethical dilemmas in healthcare by employing an interactive and case-based methodology. Drawing from the collective expertise of an interdisciplinary faculty and sessional speakers, this 4-day seminar facilitates a systematic exploration of the various perspectives involved in contemporary bioethical issues, encompassing patients, residents, families, practitioners, and societal considerations.
A few of the topics covered include:
- Patient autonomy and capacity;
- Living at risk and supporting patient choices;
- Substitute decision-making;
- Involuntary treatment;
- Health ethics and the law;
- End-of-life ethics;
- Public health ethics.
Join us at the YWCA Hotel in downtown Vancouver located at 733 Beatty St, Vancouver, BC, from April 20 - 23, 2026.
