Our team

A multidisciplinary team will support you during your pregnancy, delivery and recovery.

The St. Paul’s Hospital Pregnancy, Birthing and Newborn Centre has a multidisciplinary team to support you during your pregnancy, delivery and recovery.

It includes specially trained registered nurses and licensed practical nurses (RNs and LPNs), obstetricians, family physicians, midwives, pediatricians, and anesthetists. Other team members may include social workers, lactation consultants, laboratory technicians, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, spiritual health practitioners, and many others.

If you want to have your baby at St. Paul’s Hospital, you must find a care provider to look after you during pregnancy and childbirth. Your care provider can be a family doctor, registered midwife or obstetrician, depending on your health-care needs and personal preferences. If there are any medical concerns or care required for your baby during your hospital stay, a pediatrician may also be part of your care team.
