Thrombosis Clinic

During your visit

  • You will meet with the doctor to review your symptoms and develop a management plan. Visits usually take one hour.
  • Sometimes, the doctor will request an ultrasound or lung scan before they see you. If that is the case, plan on being at the clinic for 2 to 2 ½ hours.
  • St. Paul’s Hospital is a teaching hospital. Medical students or residents from the UBC Faculty of Medicine may be present during your appointment.

Meet the team

We have four specialist physicians, a registered nurse, several research coordinators and administration staff who make up the Thrombosis Clinic.

Our doctors have advanced training in thrombosis and extensive experience in treating patients with blood clots in their veins. They are members of the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC) with active roles in teaching medical students and medical residents.
