Clinical trials & research

The Thrombosis Clinic is actively involved in research to improve the care of patients with blood-clot diseases. Our research coordinators are part of the Centre for Advancing Health Outcomes. They work with patients who are interested in participating in the clinical trials related to the treatment of blood clots in the veins.

As a patient in the clinic, you may have the opportunity to participate in the latest clinical trials in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.

There is no pressure to participate in research. The decision is up to you.

The clinic team also participates in ongoing quality improvement projects to improve the experience of our patients.
