When you arrive

  • Always plan to arrive on time for your scheduled hemodialysis time. Coming in earlier does not get you on hemodialysis faster and avoids unnecessary waiting. Please note that your appointment may be delayed on occasion. We do our best to prevent delays but this is not always possible.
  • Every time you arrive, please wait in the waiting area until a staff member comes to get you. This keeps the treatment area clear. Too many people in the treatment area can be unsafe for everyone.
  • When it is your turn, we bring you to your hemodialysis station.
  • Please tell us if you have seen any doctors or had to stay in the hospital since your last treatment.
  • Weigh yourself. Write down your weight and give it to your nurse.
  • Before and after your treatment, remember to wear the same clothes and weigh on the same scale.
