Li-Jeen Broshko, KC, joined the Providence Health Care Board in June 2025 and serves on the Mission & Ethics and Governance and Human Resources committees.
Li-Jeen is Vice-President, Legal & Governance at E-Comm 9-1-1, which is British Columbia’s largest emergency communications services provider. E-Comm provides coverage for 99% of the province’s 9-1-1 calls and is also responsible for call taking and dispatching for fire and police agencies throughout British Columbia.
Previously, Li-Jeen was General Counsel & University Secretary at Simon Fraser University, where she served for over 12 years. Her portfolio included legal, the board of governors, organizational policy, archives, privacy and access to information, human rights and internal audit.
Prior to her in-house roles, Li-Jeen was a commercial litigation lawyer in private practice at national and boutique litigation firms in Vancouver.
She holds a J.D. from Dalhousie University, an M.A. and B.A. (Hons) in English from SFU and an ICD.D designation.
Li-Jeen serves on the Board of Directors of Vancouver College, the only all-boys Catholic school in British Columbia, with over 1000 students in kindergarten to grade 12, including her three sons. She also serves on the Board of the Vehicle Sales Authority of BC, which administers consumer protection legislation for the BC Government, reporting to the BC Attorney General, in relation to consumer vehicle purchases from licensees.
