Newborn Clinic

Preparing for your visit

If you gave birth at St. Paul’s Hospital and your baby needs care, we will give you your clinic appointment before you go home. If your family doctor or midwife refers you to the clinic, we will call you with your appointment date and time.

What to Bring

  • Your care card and your baby’s care card (if they have one)
  • Feeding and diaper changing supplies for your baby

We try to see each family at their scheduled time. Sometimes, the doctor may be delayed because they are helping with an emergency in another part of the hospital.

Transportation & parking

Remember to allow time (approximately 30 minutes) before your appointment to get from your car or transit to the clinic area. If you are new to the clinic and need directions when you arrive at St. Paul’s Hospital, ask a volunteer or reception for directions to our front door. The newborn clinic is part of the Pregnancy, Birthing and Newborn Centre.
