Chénchenstway is a 216 single bed room long-term care community designed for resident privacy, comfort, care and connection.

Providence Health Care and Fraser Health co-operate Chénchenstway, with Providence operating 110 of the community’s single bed rooms.

Each room in the home is equipped with large windows, as well as heating and air conditioning, for resident comfort. The site features multiple dining areas alongside a full-service kitchen.

Residents have access to various indoor and outdoor common spaces, including three courtyards for outdoor recreation. Additionally, the facility offers spiritual and recreational services, catering to the diverse needs and interests of residents, their families, friends, and neighbours.

Family — defined as those closest to you — play an important role in a resident’s well-being. Families and close friends are welcome to visit at any time. Providence Health Care does not restrict visiting hours. Of course, you must follow a few guidelines:

• Sick people need rest. You can visit often, but please respect your loved ones wishes for privacy or rest.
• Children under 14 must be under adult supervision (from someone other than the resident) at all times.
• Visiting may be restricted to protect the privacy and rights of other residents.
• Your visit may be interrupted by staff to provide resident care.
• If you feel unwell, have an infection, flu-like or respiratory symptoms, or any sort of communicable disease, or have recently been in contact with anyone with these symptoms, we encourage you to stay at home until you’re well again.
• We may not have the space to accommodate a large number of family members, but we’ll try our best.
