Preparing for your visit

A primary care physician, nurse practitioner, cardiologist or specialist can make patient referrals to the Virani Provincial Adult Congenital Heart Program. A link to a comprehensive referral form is available here.

What to bring

  • BC Services Card
  • Personal medical and cardiac history
  • Family history of cardiac illnesses
  • List of current medications, including supplements and non-prescription medications
  • Names of additional healthcare providers that you see
  • Questions and concerns that you would like addressed by the team

Cancellation policy

Need to cancel or change your appointment? Please notify the clinic as soon as you become aware that you are unable to attend your appointment. This allows us time to schedule other patients.

If you feel unwell and your symptoms worsen, please contact our clinic during regular hours. Please see your practitioner or visit the emergency room outside of working hours.

Transportation & parking

Please allow about 30 minutes before your appointment to get from your car or transit to the clinic area. If you are new to the clinic and need directions after you arrive at St. Paul’s Hospital, ask a volunteer or reception. They will help you find us. Please remember the name of the clinic to get the best help.
