During your visit

During your visit, we will teach you:

  • All about atrial fibrillation and how to manage it
  • When to get help and who to phone if you feel unwell
  • The signs and symptoms of a stroke and what you can do to help prevent one
  • All about the medications you’re taking

We also work with you to:

  • Answer any of your questions about atrial fibrillation (to help you remember, please write down any questions and bring them)
  • Create a treatment plan that is specific to your needs
  • Monitor your progress on the treatment plan and make changes as needed

We work as a team to meet the needs of patients with AFib. We hope to get to know you well and are here to help. Our team consists of several different kinds of professionals, including:

  • Electrophysiologists (heart specialists who focus on the electricity of the heart)
