During your visit, we may:

• Do a full evaluation of your asthma status, which may include questionnaires, interviews and tests.

This evaluation could include:

• Quality of life questionnaires
• Skin testing for allergies
• Lung function testing
• Induced sputum
• Exhaled breath analysis

We also work with you to:

• Answer any of your questions about asthma. (To help you remember, please write down any questions and bring them.)
• Provide asthma education plan that covers the many aspects of asthma and is designed around your needs.
• Create a treatment plan that is specific to your needs.
• Monitor your progress on the treatment plan and make changes as needed.

Based on your evaluation, we will also recommend and begin management strategies in collaboration with your primary care doctor, including:

• Rehabilitation
• Exercise
• Breathing techniques
• Nutrition and dietary modification
• Medications and puffers
