BRILLIANT SHOW OF LOVE: Hundreds filed into the historic Commodore Ballroom to show their love for mental health. The glitzy affair benefiting St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation featured a 90-minute fashion, dance and musical journey around the world, along with an impressive auction.

Last year, more than 9,000 patients admitted themselves to St. Paul’s seeking care for mental illness and/or addiction, a 70 per cent jump in five years according to psychiatrist Dr. Bill MacEwan and Jennifer Duff, director of mental health programs at the acute care facility.
