BC health minister derides feds for pulling plug on heroin trial

B.C.'s health minister said he is not pleased with the federal government's plans to crack down on prescribing unapproved drugs to treat patients.

Terry Lake told a meeting of health ministers in Toronto Friday that he disagreed with the decision to close a Health Canada loophole allowing doctors in a Vancouver clinical trial to prescribe heroin to recovering addicts. Read more.
