SummaryThe Systems Application Coordinator, Registration Services, provides primary support of all assigned registration and appointment scheduling computer applications. Develops, implements and maintains the Admissions (ADM) and Community Wide Scheduling (CWS) applications across Fraser Health in accordance to policies. Ensures all Registration Services initiatives meet client and user expectations and provides counsel
and liaison between Registration Services and other disciplines.

EducationGraduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science, three years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
DutiesProvides support for assigned applications (ADM, CWS) including integration testing with users, changes/updates, setup and first line troubleshooting.
Acts as a liaison between Registration Services and the vendor application specialist and/or IS for issues such as dictionary building, interfaces, and integration with other clinical information systems.
Acts as primary contact to third party vendors that affect or interact with the assigned applications.
Participates in projects that affect the assigned applications by methods such as modifying the applications, and providing input into project direction and specifications.
Participates in the identification and development of systems and business solutions to support the long term strategic plan for Registration Services.
Monitors the progress of projects to ensure they meet client expectations and are completed on time. Provides details of estimated costs of project implementation.
Maintains close liaison with other disciplines in order to ensure integration of applications throughout HIM.
Sets parameters for the registration and appointment scheduling applications to ensure data purge criteria is consistent with the requirement of the organizations in order to provide accurate data, reports and statistics to support Ministry requirements.
Creates reports as required and requested by all disciplines. Enters data into NPR application and utilizes NPR report writer and Meditech NPR data structure both in Client Server and Magic.
Develops specifications for new and revised systems by performing duties such as gathering information
from user departments and vendors, developing and documenting system and procedures by designing and mapping organizational forms, Meditech screens, queries and customer defined screens.
Researches new technology and identifies new business practices for the purposes of streamlining
