The Office of Research Services (ORS) is accountable for Providence Health Care Research Institute's compliance with the complex ethical, legal and regulatory framework for research on human subjects.

The ORS manages all Ethics and Contracts for Providence Health Care Research Institute. The ORS manages and administrates the UBC Providence Health Care Research Ethics Board and conducts all contract negotiations.
