Whole heart CT scanner arrives at St. Paul’s Hospital
St. Paul’s Hospital has received a new whole-heart CT scanner for its emergency department.
It’s one of the most modern scanners, capable of imaging the heart in a single beat rather than taking several scans to put a picture together.
Dr. Jonathan Leipsic is the head of the department of radiology and says it’s not just for cardiac patients as other organs are done too.
