SFU researcher awarded grant to study HIV among vulnerable populations (Dr. Robert Hogg)
SFU health sciences researcher Robert Hogg has been awarded a $6.5-million grant to identify ongoing health inequities among vulnerable HIV-positive populations in B.C. and the rest of Canada.
The award is among the Canadian Institute for Health Research’s inaugural grants totalling $409 million.
Hogg is a senior scientist in the epidemiology and population health program at the B.C. Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS and also principal investigator of the Canadian HIV Observational Cohort Collaborative Research Centre.
