Vice President of Clinical and Systems Transformation and Lower Mainland Health Information Management
Yoel Robens-Paradise is PHC's Vice President of Clinical and Systems Transformation and Lower Mainland Health Information Management. He provides organization-wide executive leadership for strategic direction for the CST project and is accountable for Health Information Management strategy, policy and executive level oversight of all HIM operations at Vancouver Coastal Health, Provincial Health Services Authority, Providence Health Care and the Fraser Health Authority. Yoel has formerly worked as the HIM Executive Director, Director of Health Records Services for Providence Health Care, and held the portfolio of Privacy Officer. He was previously Project Director for the Regional Evaluation of Surgical Indications and Outcomes, and was the Director of Evaluation for the Vancouver Richmond Health Board. He managed the Center for Clinical Effectiveness at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, and was a Project Manager for Columbia University at Harlem Hospital in New York. He received his Masters in Public Administration and Health Policy from Columbia University in 1992 and a triple major bachelors of arts from University of Wisconsin Madison. He serves on the Douglas College Health Information Sciences Advisory Board, and the Allocations Committee for the Greater Vancouver Jewish Federation. He also enjoys playing street soccer with Covenant house. Yoel strives to be a values-based leader; emphasizing transparency, public accountability, respect and a focus on client/customer service.
