Lights of Hope at St. Paul's Hospital kicks off with fireworks
Thousands of people gathered outside St. Paul’s Hospital on Burrard Street yesterday evening to watch the fireworks display marking the start of this year’s Lights of Hope display.
The colourful display is now in its 16th year as part of an effort to support the hospital’s most pressing patient care and equipment needs. Back-lit stars are scattered on the display to recognize donations by individuals and companies.
Lights of Hope has raised tens of millions for St. Paul’s Hospital to date, and this year’s campaign has a goal of exceeding last year’s amount by raising $2.5 million.
