Lights of Hope give student skills, experience in trades
Every year the Lights of Hope at St. Paul’s Hospital give Vancouverites a spectacular and brilliant display of holiday spirit. For the past 12 years, BCIT trades students have been part of the effort behind the hospital’s successful fundraiser. This year, Grade 12 student Jonathan Lozada was part of the two-week effort, working as part of a team that prepares the lights and equipment and connects all of the wiring systems before a group of more than 120 community volunteers puts up the lights. The students then return for another week to test that the lights are working properly and make any necessary adjustments. Read full story here.
