corporate director, Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects, Office of the CEO
Deborah Mitchell was appointed corporate director, Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects, Office of the CEO, in June 2015. She joined PHC in 2012 and previously held the position Director of Executive Services.
This new position reflects the growing need for advancing and supporting key projects in the areas of strategic partnerships and large-scale system and program change. Deborah is accountable for the planning and implementation of corporate strategic initiatives that support priorities identified by the President and CEO, the PHC Board and the Ministry of Health. She represents the CEO, as delegated, in various health-sector forums and planning tables and is the point person in developing effective responses to emerging strategic issues impacting the Office of the CEO.
Deborah has over 20 years of progressive leadership experience with a variety of health care organizations in the private sector. She holds an Executive MBA from the Beedie School of Business and a BSc in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University.
