About this clinic
The Centre for Pelvic Floor at St. Paul’s Hospital is dedicated to managing pelvic floor disorders. We are a multidisciplinary clinic, which means we have experts from different fields working together to help patients manage pelvic floor disorders.
Pelvic floor disorders we assess and treat include:
- Urinary incontinence and obstructed urinary voiding
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Fecal incontinence and obstructed defecation
- Pelvic fistulas like genitourinary and low rectovaginal
- Pelvic pain due to pelvic floor muscle hypertonicity/myofascial pain
- Painful bladder syndrome
- Sexual dysfunction due to pelvic floor disorders
We have three urogynecologists on our team. Urogynecologists specialize in female pelvic medicine and pelvic surgery. We also have a fully staffed pessary fitting and catheter care clinic. This clinic has clinicians and nurse continence advisors who can assist you.
We collaborate with our other colleagues at PHC. This includes colleagues in pelvic physiotherapy, urology, colorectal surgery, geriatric medicine, pain medicine/anesthesia, neurosurgery and surgical optimization.
