About this clinic

You can find the Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Clinic at the Pacific Lung Health Centre at St. Paul's Hospital.

The clinic is led by respirologists (lung doctors) with extra training and special interest in the comprehensive care of patients with ILD.

Doctors at the clinic are involved in research to improve the quality of life and outcomes of ILD patients. This research includes clinical trials of potential therapies.

A clinical coordinator provides additional ongoing care. The coordinator arranges regular support group meetings for ILD patients and their families.

  • Tuesday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Thursday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Saturday: Closed

Closed weekends and holidays.

St. Paul’s Hospital and Providence Health Care are committed to researching new solutions to help people with breathing conditions.

The Pacific Lung Research Centre at St. Paul's Hospital conducts studies in many respiratory disease areas. These include:

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (such as bronchitis and emphysema)
  • Interstitial lung disease and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
  • Chronic cough
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Asthma and other areas.

Please speak with your respirologist to see if you qualify for these studies. If you have been diagnosed with a respiratory disease, you may also contact the research staff at 604-806-9485 or 604-806-8117 for more information. Physicians can contact the research office at 604-806-8117 to refer a patient for a study, or to discuss clinical trials.
