Weekend Poll: Are you prepared to care for your aging parents?
This week, we heard from Aaron Craven, a local Vancouver man whose mom was admitted to St. Paul’s Hospital this week to stabilize her Alzheimer’s medication.
The treatment she received, however, may have been less than ideal. Craven alleges hospital security restrained her and stripped her naked after she became agitated and tried to leave the hospital.
Craven spoke to Postmedia in hopes of raising awareness about caring for aging parents with Alzheimer’s, and how the current health care system may not be adequately equipped to handle the aging population that is coming up.
