St. Paul's dialysis patients prepare to display 'Art Cart' creations
A little art show at St. Paul’s Hospital this weekend has profound meaning for the patients who spent long hours in treatment creating it.
Since January, more than 30 patients in the hemodialysis unit at St. Paul’s Hospital have participated in the “Art Cart” project, which provides them with art supplies and with guidance from volunteers who help them create original works as they undergo dialysis.
They’ve contributed collages, paintings, dream catchers and more toward a collection of 50 pieces of art that is theirs to keep.
