Groundbreaking Chair will help promote First Nations’ health (St. Paul's Hospital)
Simon Fraser University made strides this week in advancing its twin goals of supporting Aboriginal peoples and of being a leader in research mobilization.
On Tuesday, representatives of SFU, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and St Paul’s Hospital Foundation announced the establishment of the First Nations Health Authority Chair in Heart Health and Wellness.
The Chair – a first of its kind in Western Canada – will lead research and education efforts, and guide policy on First Nations’ heart health and disease prevention.
