Man who had heart attack at youth hockey game in Surrey says scare will force lifestyle changes (Lucia Milosavljevic, St. Paul's Hospital)
It won't be easy, but Simon Ma is determined to give up a pack-a-day smoking habit, eat more veggies and start exercising after he survived a heart attack thanks in part to a group of quick-thinking hockey parents.
And, he just might take a CPR class.
Burnaby parent Lucia Milosavljevic is a nurse in the cardiac unit of St. Paul's Hospital, and the team's manager Paul Conners had taken a CPR course. Surrey hockey dads Gerry Lieper and Garry Bruce also had experience with the life-saving technique.
