Brilliant! Vancouver's Show of Love for Mental Health (St. Paul's Hospital Foundation)
Now in its third year, the annual Brilliant! fundraiser and fashion show is unlike any other in Vancouver.
Just the numbers alone give a sense of the magnitude of this production. Over 200 volunteer artists were involved in putting on the show, from models, clothing designers, make-up artists and hairstylists, to dancers and musicians. Then there were the volunteers manning the fundraiser itself, including the fabulous MC Symone Says, the ladies taking care of the silent auction and holding the Star Wars-like batons to signal bidders and the Commodore staff.
Finally, there were the numerous sponsors who donated gifts or, in the case of the Vancouver Fire Department, studly cooking services. And last but not least, the generous sold-out audience of over 900 who were in good spirits and dug deep into their pockets to give to an amazing cause.
