United Nations embraces BC—HIV/AIDS control strategy (Dr. Julio Montaner)
Advertisement: On Thursday, UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson announced 90-90-90, a new strategy to end AIDS.
Based on the pioneering Treatment as Prevention strategy of our own Dr. Julio Montaner, director, BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS at St. Paul’s Hospital, the plan calls for 90 per cent of all people living with HIV to be diagnosed, 90 per cent to receive antiretroviral therapy and 90 per cent to be virally suppressed to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030.
St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, Providence Health Care, the University of British Columbia and partners proudly congratulate Dr. Montaner for your passion, your vision and your dedication.
