“I know what they mean when elders talk about not wanting to go out, becoming fearful,” she explained this week at the Elder Care Clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital in downtown Vancouver. “They stay within their apartments. They lose independence.”
“I had fallen a couple of times,” she added, touching a shoulder she’d injured. While in St. Paul’s for another matter, she was referred in late April to see physiotherapist Julie Cheng whose work focuses on keeping seniors on their feet. Read more here.
