Our Audiologist's contribute to the continuum of care at PHC by working closely with the Otolaryngologists of the ENT Clinic, staff of the Special Care Nursery and staff on inpatient wards. Clinical Perfusionist  

St. Paul's Hospital is the provincial cardiac referral centre as well as BC's Heart Transplant Centre, and provides ventricular mechanical assist devices such as Heartmate II, Thoratec, Impella and ECMO.  Our perfusionists are part of the cardiovascular surgical team and participate in the care of approximately 1050 open-heart surgeries, 500 cell savers, 100 platelet gel, 15 to 20 heart transplant and several VADs per year. The perfusionist offers his/her expertise in the operating room, the Cath Lab, ICU, CCU and CSICU.
