Geriatric Day Hospital

The Geriatric Day Hospital, located at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, provides short-term assessment and treatment of older adults who experience changes in their functioning that threaten their health and independence. Changes may be physical, social or psychological in nature. The program can accommodate approximately fifteen patients each day. The length of stay in the program varies with each individual, but can range from one to four months.

Consideration for program admissions will be given to individuals who have multiple (complex) problems that impair physical, psychological, and social function; are able and willing to attend regularly on an outpatient basis; and are living within the program's catchment area.
