This document, now in its second edition, (TCPS2) is the authoritative statement on policy in research ethics in Canada. Background on the Tri-Council and the document itself  can be viewed or downloaded at: www.pre.ethics.gc.ca/eng/policy-politique/initiatives/tcps2-eptc2/Default/.

The International Conference on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH)

The ICH (www.ich.org) is an international organization of regulatory authorities in the pharmaceutical industry and has evolved to become an authority on pharmaceutical related research.

The ICH guidelines are still a helpful resource for current research ethics.

Office of Research Services

Research at the PHC is conducted through UBC and the ORS (www.ors.ubc.ca/home) is a very helpful place for aid in answering research questions or navigating research policies.
