Registered Nurse High Acuity
We have an exciting casual RN High Acuity position that has recently been posted to help support Mount Saint Joseph Hospital. If you are an experienced nurse who has one year of experience in a high acuity unit or an experienced nurse who has completed certifications in Critical Care, Emergency or High Acuity we want to hear from you. The High Acuity Unit is located at Mount Saint Joseph on the 3rd floor. There are 6 beds. As a High Acuity nurse you will have the opportunity to be part of a diverse team, work with acuity ill patients that have complex,acute and co-existing illnesses’. You will have the opportunity to consult and take your nursing experience to the next level. SummaryReporting to the Operations Leader, the Staff Nurse, assesses, identifies, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care required to assist patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs. The Staff Nurse works within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the CRNBC/CRPNBC Standards of Practice and consistent with the mission, vision and values and established protocols of Providence Health Care.
EducationRegistered Nurse with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia or, in Residential Care and Mental Health a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia. Completion of the Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, Level C.
Completion of post graduate high acuity nursing course or one year’s recent, related experience in an equivalent setting.
