Anesthesiologists are responsible for your medical care and safety throughout your operation and for arranging for appropriate post-operative pain control. For major surgery we will decide with you and the surgeon what the most suitable method of controlling your pain after the surgery is. Our options include intravenous medication, oral medications and local anesthesia delivered once or continuously via catheters close to nerves.
