Our People

Our department has 41 Canadian certified anesthesiologists who have specialty training in anesthesiology and are fellows of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Having attained their FRCPC specialty designation in anesthesiology most of our staff have also spent further time accomplishing subspecialty training. We have many subspecialty areas represented in our department including: cardiothoracic anesthesia, peri-operative echocardiography, intensive care, regional anesthesia, acute, chronic pain and maternal high risk obstetrical care. We have many anesthesiologists involved in advanced research in both clinical and basic science areas.

Many of our anesthesiologists are recognized as leaders in the profession for their clinical work, research, education and administration. As a team we are a cohesive group that is able to pool our specialties to optimize the patient care experience.
