Vancouver, February 10, 2005 — What are the latest breakthroughs in heart transplants? Are living anonymous donor kidney transplants a safe and feasible strategy? How can we better diagnose and treat organ rejection in transplant patients? How can new research help save the lives of the growing number of Canadians who need organ transplants each year?
Leading experts in transplant research and care from Vancouver General Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital and the BC Transplant Society, as well as a recent transplant recipient will discuss these issues at a free public talk called New Breakthroughs in Transplantation.
